Travel Tip Tuesday - Road Trip
Check your car's conditions:
*Get an oil change before your trip
*Make sure all the fluids are full
*Engine fluid, windshield washer fluid, brake fluid
*Make sure all of the filters, belts and windshield wipers are in good shape
*Measure the tire pressure
*Check the front, back and blinker lights and ensure they work
*Clean your car out. This way you will have plenty of space for you and your belongings
Research where you will be going:
*Get a road map as well as a current map from an internet site
*Research any construction or possible obstacles that be a time delay
*Check the weather to see if you need to have any items or your car prepared for different driving conditions
*Pack your car inside of your garage to ensure your travel isn't publicly known
Things to bring:
*Travel itinerary and information on desired stops
*Clothes for the current type of climate you are going to: comfortable shoes, neutral clothing, light jacket if needed
*Entertainment: CDs, games, audio books, books, magazines
*Food: breakfast bars, healthy snacks, munchies, bottled water or juice (avoid too much caffeine). This will avoid spending a ton at convenience stores and less stops along the way.
*First aid kit: Band-Aids, Neosporin, aspirin, allergy medicine
